Music is one way we worship God in spirit and in truth. Our music is intended to adorn and accompany the preaching of God's Word. Our emphasis is not a band, but rather the unified voice of the congregation which is the primary instrument we wish to feature. We take Colossians 3:16 and Ephesians 5:18-19 seriously: 

 

"Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom,

singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God."

 

"be filled with the Spirit, addressing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs,

singing and making melody to the Lord with your heart..."

Our music ministry is not a showcase of professionals. Our heart is to use the diverse musical gifts of our congregation. We have various Praise Teams that utilize simple instrumentation including piano, keyboard, marimba, guitar, cajon, and other instruments, and we desire to see our Music Ministry grow. Singing substantial gospel-centered songs together is a joy for us.
